DR ROBERT DAVIES BSc, BVMS, MANZCVS (Equine Medicine), Cert Equine StudMedicine, MRCVS
EQUINE VETERINARIAN
Dr Rob founded Baldivis Vet Hospital in 1984.
He enjoys keeping up to date with his continuing veterinary education and is dedicated to keeping up with new developments in veterinary care.
Dr Rob is committed to implementing new technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of all creatures great and small. Dr Rob has a special interest in equine reproduction work.
Dr Rob is passionate about achieving the best possible outcome for his patients and their owners.

DR LANCE REDMAN BSc MANZCVS (Equine Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation)
EQUINE VETERINARIAN & PARTNER
Dr Lance Redman, BVSc, MANZVCS (Equine Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation), graduated from Murdoch University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine & Surgery. During university, he developed a passion for all aspects of equine practice, which was recognised with the Adamsons Prize for Equine Medicine and Surgery. Lance completed externships at leading equine hospitals across Australia, including Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital and Randwick Equine Centre, to further develop his equine expertise.
After graduation, Lance spent his first year as a mixed practice veterinarian in the country town of Manjimup, treating both large and small animals. His passion for horses eventually led him back to Perth, where he joined Baldivis Vet Hospital in 2019 and became a partner in 2023. He is highly experienced in lameness assessment and managing performance horses, and he recently achieved ANZCVS Membership in Equine Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Outside of work, he enjoys surfing and spending time with his family.

Dr JACK EGAN BVSc, MANZCVS (Equine General Practice)
EQUINE VETERINARIAN & PARTNER
Dr Jack Egan, BVSc, MANZCVS (Equine General Practice), hails from Mansfield, Victoria, and graduated from Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, in 2017 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. The following year, he completed a rotating equine internship at Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital, gaining extensive hands-on experience working alongside leading specialists. He then spent 18 months at Gippsland Equine Hospital before moving to Western Australia in February 2020 to join Baldivis Vet Hospital, where he became a partner in 2023.
Jack’s clinical focus includes equine reproduction, particularly difficult mare breeders and stallion management, as well as racehorse and performance horse management to support elite performance at the top level.
Outside of work, Jack enjoys his polo ponies, football, cricket, water-skiing, horse racing, and campdrafting.

Dr Stephanie Collins BVSc, MANZCVS (Equine Medicine)
EQUINE VETERINARIAN
Dr Stephanie Collins, BVSc, MANZCVS (Equine Medicine), joined Baldivis Vet Hospital in 2021 after completing an internship at the University of Queensland. She spent time working in the United Kingdom in 2023 before returning to Western Australia the same year. That year, Stephanie achieved Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in Equine Medicine, a significant professional milestone.
Stephanie’s experience covers a wide range of equine medicine, with a particular focus on foal care, ophthalmology, and complex medical cases. She is highly regarded for her clinical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to providing the highest standard of care.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her dogs, camping with her partner, and keeping active with CrossFit.

Dr William Height BSc, DVM
EQUINE VETERINARIAN
Dr William Height, BSc, DVM, graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2023. Following graduation, he completed an equine internship at Avenel Equine Hospital in central Victoria, where he gained valuable experience in both surgery and medicine. During this time, he was recognised at a national equine veterinary conference for his research on septic joints in foals.
Will joined Baldivis Vet Hospital in February 2025 and is currently undertaking a Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice (Equine Surgery and Orthopaedics) through the University of Liverpool. His clinical focus includes surgery and lameness, and he is committed to further developing his skills in these areas.
Outside of work, Will enjoys wakeboarding and surfing.

Dr Sarah Cook BScMAgSc, DVM
EQUINE VETERINARIAN
Dr Sarah Cook, BScMAgSc, DVM, joined Baldivis Vet Hospital in early 2026. She completed a Master’s degree in Agricultural Science, majoring in Animal Nutrition, before working as an animal nutritionist in Victoria for two years. Sarah then relocated to Western Australia to undertake her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University, where she developed a strong passion for equine medicine.
In 2025, Sarah completed an equine internship at Murdoch University, where she further developed her skills and built a strong foundation in sports medicine. She is also actively involved in the veterinary community as the Western Australian Equine Veterinarians Australia (EVA) Young Member Representative.
Sarah’s clinical focus includes equine and sports medicine, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and dentistry. She is particularly passionate about improving quality of life for ageing horses and supporting their long-term wellbeing.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys pottery, hiking, and spending time by the ocean. On weekends, she can often be found exploring the coast with her dog, Frank—usually finishing the adventure with a well-earned croissant.

Dr Muriel Sacks BVSc, DACVIM-LA, CVCP
EQUINE VETERINARIAN
Specialist in Large Animal Internal Medicine & Certified Veterinary Chiropractor
Joined 2025
Dr Muriel Sacks, BVSc, DACVIM-LA, CVCP, brings international experience from Switzerland, Germany, Egypt, and Australia. She is a registered specialist in Large Animal Internal Medicine and a certified veterinary chiropractor, with extensive experience in managing a wide range of equine medicine cases, including colics, foals, poor performance, and complex medical conditions. She has published research in her favourite medical fields of heart, lungs and anaesthesia, including studies in horses, foals, and less commonly seen species such as orangutans and rhinoceros.
Muriel is passionate about improving animal welfare and applying her exceptional skills to deliver the highest standard of patient care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her enthusiastic Staffy girl Ari, going on hikes, travelling, and advocating for animal welfare as board member of the Australian charity Egypt Equine Aid.

Dr Alice Brown BVSc
EQUINE VETERINARIAN
Dr Alice Brown, BVSc, relocated from Brisbane and joined Baldivis Vet Hospital in March 2024. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 2022 and completed a mixed animal internship at WestVets Animal Hospital, gaining experience in a wide range of cases involving both large and small animals. Alice’s experience in equine medicine includes colic management, foal and neonatal care, anaesthesia, and equine dentistry.
Alice is known for her calm approach, thorough patient care, and ability to build strong relationships with both horses and their owners. Outside of work, Alice enjoys an active lifestyle, spending time at the beach, keeping fit, and catching up with friends.

Equine Veterinary Nurse (Joined 2025)
Jess joined the Baldivis Vet Hospital nursing team in early 2025. She holds a Certificate III in Animal Studies and a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and has long aspired to work within equine practice after many years of riding horses from the age of 11.Jess enjoys all aspects of her role, with a particular fondness for breeding season and caring for foals, as well as looking after hospitalised patients. She brings enthusiasm, compassion, and a strong work ethic to the team.
Outside of work, Jess enjoys travelling, spending time with her dog, and hitting the dance floor whenever she gets the chance.

Head Equine Nurse BSc (Animal Science), BVetTech, AI Technician
Carly joined the Baldivis Veterinary hospital in 2022 after working in the UK for 2 years as a foaling manager at Twemlow’s Stud Farm and an equine nurse at Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic.
Our head nurse graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2017 with a double degree in Animal Science and Veterinary Technology and proceeded to work in the Hunter Valley as an equine stud nurse for two seasons with Newgate Farm.
Carly has a strong interest in reproduction, foal medicine, patient care, clinical standards and biosecurity.
Outside of work Carly can be found at the beach or exploring with her puppy Poppy, hiking and spending time with friends.

Equine Veterinary Nurse (Joined March 2016)
Lou joined Baldivis Vet Hospital in March 2016 and is one of our longest-standing nurses. She holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and is known for her efficiency, foresight, and tireless work ethic — often preparing everything before the vets even realise they need it.Lou has a strong passion for foal medicine and especially enjoys the challenge and reward of successfully pairing orphan foals with foster mares. A constant source of laughter and positivity, she plays a huge role in maintaining team morale.

Equine Veterinary Nurse (Joined November 2021)
Jemma joined the Baldivis Vet Hospital team in November 2021 and holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She is an exceptional hospital nurse, known for her attention to detail and ability to notice even the smallest changes in hospitalised patients. Jemma is deeply committed to ensuring every horse receives the highest standard of care, always placing her patients’ wellbeing first.She has a particular soft spot for ponies and senior horses. Outside of work, Jemma also works with a local racing trainer and spends time with her much-loved animal family, including two dogs, two cats, and two rabbits and – of course – two horses.

Zara is part of the horse handling and stable team at Baldivis Vet Hospital, where she plays an important role in the daily care and management of our patients. She enjoys building strong relationships with both clients and their horses and takes pride in providing attentive, hands-on care.Zara brings several years of experience from working with performance horses, which has given her a solid foundation in horse handling and stable management. Outside of work, she enjoys eventing her stock horse Ash and continuing to develop her skills with her talented newcomer Oakley.

Gabby joined Baldivis Vet Hospital in 2023 as a horse handler and stablehand. She is an experienced and highly observant handler, often picking up subtle changes in patients and quickly becoming a favourite with the horses in her care. Gabby’s calm, consistent approach plays an important role in keeping both patients and staff safe.Growing up on a farm sparked her passion for working with horses. Outside of work, Gabby competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Demi joined the Baldivis Vet Hospital team in January 2023, bringing with her nine years of experience within the racing industry. Originally from Scotland, she moved to Australia in 2011 and has since built a strong background working hands-on with performance horses.Her favourite part of the role is assisting with lameness evaluations and performance optimisation. Demi is known for her strong work ethic, willingness to help wherever needed, and calm, capable approach when handling challenging horses. She is always ready to get stuck in and ensure the job is done safely and efficiently.

Receptionist (joined us so long ago, we cannot even remember)
Lou is part of the reception team at Baldivis Vet Hospital, providing friendly and efficient support to clients and staff alike.We could not imagine a Baldivis equine world without her – she has the answer to literally all our questions, be it work or life related.
Lou is deeply rooted within the WA equine community and excited about all equine athletes. For herself, she has recently made some adaptations to her lifestyle and moved closer to the beach, to enjoy summer sunshine by the ocean with her three dogs. She is excited about renovating her new house and getting to know the perks of the new neighbourhood.
